Fads tend to come and go very quickly in the interior design world, think shag carpets or macramé plant hangers that seemed to be everywhere during the 70s. Who remembers the bold geometric shapes or dense floral that adorned everything in the 80s? In the 90s, we were plagued with the overuse of rows and rows of non-descript gray office cubicles.
Although fads are fleeting, true trends seem to have longevity and sometimes become the norm. Sustainability seems to be moving towards the latter. According to ASID, Sustainability in Design means creating spaces that are healthy for people & enhance productivity, have lower operating costs and use materials that decrease environmental impacts both in their production and maintenance.
We are proud to offer products that are timeless in look and design but sustainable in every definition of the term. Our wall covering systems are hygienic and fire retardant which protect the occupants utilizing the space. They are also extremely durable and if damaged can easily be repaired. Since they are made from a renewable resource their production has a very low impact on the environment. All of these attributes make sustainability one of the best reasons to choose our line of wall covering products over traditional types.
Sustainability may be a trend….but it’s one Vitrulan believes is extremely important and has staying power!
